Laugh Play Learn Philosophy

Our Core Beliefs:

Every Child is a Precious Gift

At Happy Days, our number 1 core belief is that the children entrusted in our care are a precious gift.  This principle translates in our every interaction throughout the day.  At Happy Days, your child is cared for as one of our own. This safe haven is where your child will spend their day laughing, playing, and learning.

Kids learn best through play

Our teachers encourage children’s learning through their daily interactions that aim to stretch their thinking to higher levels.  We believe based on our study of Child Psychology, that children learn best when offered first hand experiences, “purposeful play”, because play motivates, stimulates and supports children in their development.  IT enhances their skills, concepts, language acquisition, communication skills, and concentration. Play also allows children to use all of their senses.  Not only do they have to express their thoughts but they also have to make connections between what they already know with new skills and knowledge.  During play they experiment and practice new skills. For all these reasons for so many more, we believe play is a critical part of developing and growing.

Student- Teacher Relationship

We believe in small class sizes. Our small school will offer your child one on one attention and care like no other.  We are strong believers that a small class size will provide the nourishment and care of each of our children, providing more time with the teachers to develop their skills,  inspire them, and give them the security of knowing that their teacher cares for them.  This caring relationship with their teacher becomes a catalyst for their learning and growth.  Our teachers are highly skilled educators trained in early childhood education and development.  They also come with extensive experience in working with preschoolers and school aged children. We require teachers to continue their education through professional development opportunities and mandatory training to meet strict local and state licensing regulations.  All of our teachers and staff undergo a detailed background check and are CPR certified to ensure the safety of our children.

Nourishing the whole child

At Happy Days, we believe in caring for the whole child. So we teach them manners, respect and empathy along with the knowledge they need to enter Kindergarten. We support and nurture all areas of children’s development and learning from social-emotional and cognitive skills to literacy, math, and science understanding.
